Company Information
The original Depot store opened in Wayne Towne Center
adjacent to JC Penney’s in 1975 with the marketing help of Levi Strauss and
Co. Over the next several decades The Depot owned and operated additional
stores in Wayne, Wyckoff, West Milford, Saddlebrook, and Hackettstown in New
Jersey and Warwick and Sugar Loaf in New York State. Only 1 additional store
was located outside of the tri-state area and that was in Delray Beach,
Florida.
In addition The Depot also owned and operated The Price is Right in Wayne
and Dover, New Jersey, The Bus Stop in Paterson, New Jersey, More for Less
in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, and Casual Fair in Parsippany, New Jersey.
It was in 1988 that The Depot opened and later expanded the current West
Milford store location. This store is in the foothills of Passaic County in
a quaint turn of the century village and is considered the flagship
operating as a Depot.
Today The Depot carries national brand clothing at discount prices for the
entire family. The senior buying staff purchases clothing from manufacturers
like Columbia and Woolrich Sportswear, Tribal Sportswear, Wigwam Socks,
William Carter, Oshkosh B’gosh, Levi’s, Lee, Wrangler, Jockey Underwear,
Spanx, and a multitude of others.
In most instances these manufactures will reflect their suggested retails
and The Depot will discount these products. Additional clothing purchases
are made from off price specialists and contractors to supplement the
discounted national brands being carried.
